Bio

Daniel grew up in northern Michigan, Maryland, and Florida. His father was an epidemiologist, and his mother was a schoolteacher. He has two brothers, both of whom are scientists, as well as two adult children.

He graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in graphic design and began a long career in advertising as an art director and illustrator.

His work has been showcased in public exhibitions and private collections, including The Orlando Museum of Art, Mills Gallery Orlando, CityArts Orlando, and the ArtFields Festival in South Carolina. Recently, his work appeared on billboards in the Orlando area, and he recently completed a project for a downtown traffic box for the City District of Orlando.

Daniel draws inspiration from the early days of photography to create contemporary paintings and drawings using a mix of traditional and digital media. His latest work explores the space between representation and abstraction, using the figure as a starting point. He divides his time between painting and graphic design while refraining from using his phone and writing about himself in the third person.
